This Privacy Policy explains how Canopy Gaming Pty Ltd (we, us, our), trading as JungleBet, collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). It applies to junglebet.co and all related services.
Notice of collection
We collect personal information directly from you when you create an account, verify your identity, deposit or withdraw, place bets, or contact us. If we cannot collect the information we need (for example to verify your age and identity), we may be unable to open or operate your account. We also collect device, usage and transaction data automatically as you use the site.
Information we collect
Identity and contact details, date of birth, government identifiers used for verification, transaction and betting history, device and usage data, and any correspondence you send us.
Why we collect it
To open and operate your account, verify your identity and age, comply with AML/CTF and racing-integrity obligations, process payments, detect fraud, provide support, support responsible gambling, and meet legal and regulatory requirements.
Identity verification
Under the AML/CTF Act 2006 (Cth) we must verify your identity before you bet. We may use document checks and accredited electronic verification services. We do not use this data for marketing without your consent.
Disclosure
We disclose personal information to identity-verification providers, payment processors, regulators (including the Northern Territory Racing and Wagering Commission (NTRWC) and AUSTRAC), racing-control bodies for integrity purposes, and law-enforcement where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
Age verification & minor data protection
We enforce strict 18+ age verification before any data collection. If personal information of a person under 18 is inadvertently collected (for example by bypassing the age gate): we do not transfer it internationally; we delete it immediately without retention; we do not use it for marketing, analytics or profiling; and we do not share it with third parties. Personal information of verified adult users may be processed internationally as described below.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers may store or process personal information outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. Where we disclose information overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.
Security & retention
We hold information under reasonable security safeguards and retain it for the period required by law (including seven years for transaction records under the AML/CTF Rules), after which it is securely destroyed or de-identified.
Your rights
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by emailing support@junglebet.co. We will respond within a reasonable period and, where we cannot give access or make a correction, we will explain why. There is no fee to make a request.
Direct marketing
We only send marketing where permitted. You can opt out at any time from your account or via the unsubscribe link in any message. Registering with BetStop removes you from all licensed provider marketing.
Making a privacy complaint
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, email support@junglebet.co. We acknowledge within 2 business days and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner — oaic.gov.au, 1300 363 992.
Sensitive information
We do not collect sensitive information (such as health, racial or religious information) except where you volunteer it in the context of a responsible-gambling interaction or a complaint, and only to assist you. We do not use it for any other purpose.
Automated decision-making
We use automated tools to detect fraud, assess identity-verification risk and identify signs of gambling harm. These tools may flag an account for human review; significant decisions affecting you involve a person, and you can ask us to explain a decision.
Children
This site is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we close it and void any bets.
